Law School PodCast is over for now . . .

By daryl at Wed, 2006-03-22 15:15

Hello Everyone!

Sorry I haven't posted the reason for my absence, but as you can tell from the Title of this entry that the PodCast is over for now.  I had to withdraw as a flex student since my current job must take precedence over Law School.  I have the option to return in the Fall although at this time I am not sure that I will.  So the PodCast is over for now.  We did one last PodCast and it should have posted, but I had some technical difficulties and other excuses that I assure you are good excuses as well.

Anyway.  I would like to say that I am keeping this content here for now and for any Law Student that feels they can take over the Law School PodCast I will be happy to post their shows, etc.  If you are interested e-mail me at darylvf [at] gmail [dot] com

Thank you to everyone that has listened and keep an eye out for me to maybe do a PodCast related to Computer Security and Technology.

Chris and I had a great time doing the PodCast, well ok, maybe I forced Chris to do it.  :)

Take Care

 Daryl

Excellent Demonstration of the Socratic Method: Teaching Kids Binary

By daryl at Thu, 2006-02-09 16:18

This is an excellent paper on "The Socratic Method."  This is the way that the majority of Law School courses are taught, especially to 1L's.

Blog: The Great Change: Turning Cathy into a Lawyer - Great Post about Exams and Grades

By daryl at Wed, 2006-02-01 00:00

Hello everyone.  I know my Blog here has been light and the podcast has been light and not as timely.  I am dealing with the ill fate of not doing as well on my exams as I had hoped.  Granted not so bad that they want to throw me out, but not the achievement that I am accustomed.  That being said, here is a great post of another Law student dealing with the same thing.  Many 1L's suffer this circumstance.  Read Cathy's Blog.  Its a good insight into the mind of a Law Student and dealing with exams/grades.

Friday of Doom? Part I

BTW, Chris and I will be recording the next podcast this Friday the 3rd.

Open Source and the United States Patent Office (USPTO)

By daryl at Wed, 2006-01-11 08:04

I won't comment much on this except that this is a definite move in the right direction.   The Patent office seems to be at least listening, thanks to IBM, New York Law School among others.  Groklaw has a nice post with links.  I recommend you check it out if you have an interest or just want to know how this might help the software patent mess.

Three Initiatives to Improve the Patent Mess Announced
